Wally (Wallace) Taylor:
Born and raised in a quiet Ontario, Canada community, I was convinced I would spend my adult life as a tobacco farmer! Thankfully, my path would take many turns with the first being the draw of the Canadian Army. Military life allowed me to explore many different areas of the world for close to a decade. After the military, I transitioned back to the life of a civilian by working in the auto industry, transportation, and eventually the Oil Sands in Alberta where I believed I would retire from.I began visiting the great state of Arizona in 2009 as a way to escape the cold and I quickly realized I would be spending my retirement under the glow of the sun. I was interested in a place where I could actually enjoy the outdoors by hiking, bicycling, and motorcycle riding. With over 300 days of sunshine each year, I couldn’t have picked a better location! I became a part-time resident and spent as much time as the rules allowed for a Canadian and ended up becoming a sort of tour guide to my fellow Canadian travelers.
I found I did not want to wait until retirement to become a full-time resident so I made the transition to permanent resident and immediately started my career in Real Estate by attending and graduating from ASREB. I am so happy to be embarking on this new journey with my wife.

My first 30 years were spent on the High Plains of the Texas Panhandle – Amarillo, to be exact. After finding myself starting a new life with two small children I could see a big change was in our future. One day I picked up my little ones and headed westward landing 700 miles away surrounded by sunshine and Saguaro cactuses. Who could leave a setting like this? The diversity of people and lifestyles and landscapes continues to keep me in wonderment and reaffirms this was the place to raise my family and spread my wings. I have raised my kids, worked in the corporate world and met my life partner.
